Instructions for Uploading Your Address File (We recommend using a Windows computer):

  1. Save this Microsoft Excel template to your computer's desktop by clicking the icon at the end of this paragraph. Important: do not open the file immediately from your web browser - you must save it to the desktop, then go to your desktop and open it from there. Open it from your desktop. If a message pops up asking if you want to run Macros, make sure you click the button that enables Excel to run the macros (the macros do the data checking). Fill in the addresses that you would like boxes delivered to:
  2. You now need to save your file as a text file (instead of an Excel file). Click the "Validate/Save" button that is in the spreadsheet in Column C, Row 1.
  3. The spreadsheet will check for any data errors, and warn you of their presence by highlighting the cells. Mouse over the highlighted cell to see the error message. Then correct the error, and click "Validate/Save" again
  4. A text file called "Dans-Chocolates-Upload-File.txt" will be saved to your desktop. Note that this is a separate file from the Excel file.
  5. Upload the text file Dans-Chocolates-Upload-File.txt (not the Excel template) using the upload function below, by using the "Browse" button below to select the file from your desktop, and then filling out the remainder of the fields and clicking the "Submit File for Import" button.
  6. We will contact you via phone before we finish the order on our end.
